The orchestrated smear campaign began in the early fall of 2015. Stephen Dinan, CEO of the Shift Network, was angry at Barbara Marx Hubbard for refusing to “work under him” in fulfilling her vision of a planetary awakening event in 2020. Instead, she had enrolled Marc Gafni and the Center for Integral Wisdom as partners in the event.

On September 15th, Dinan rebuked Barbara “harshly” in a public forum on account of Marc’s involvement. Soon after, he began forwarding to Barbara old and already-refuted information about past allegations against Marc. Barbara implored Dinan to meet with Marc and check evidence, but he adamantly refused.

In early October, Dinan put Barbara in touch with Chaya Lester and David Ingber, his primary partners in this campaign and the folks who were central actors or organizers of the 2006 false complaints in Israel. All of this was an attempt by Dinan to undermine Barbara’s teaching collaboration with Marc. It did not work, so a New York Times columnist, known for taking down spiritual teachers, was enrolled, and the smear campaign was put into motion on December 24th.

In 2006, Marc was falsely accused of sexual harassment in complaints made by two women he knew through his organization in Israel. These complaints, which were claimed to have been registered with the Israeli police, were totally unexpected by Marc. They caused him to leave the country, go silent, and spend the next several years recovering evidence that had been, according to forensic experts, intentionally deleted from his computer.

As is revealed in soon-to-be-released document posted in this section, Marc’s former wife, Chaya, and his former student, David Ingber are revealed, directly or indirectly, as key organizers of these complaints. Moreover, additional evidence undermining these complaints will be shared directly, for the first time. This evidence contains extensive first-person accounts by the persons in question about their experience of their relationships with Marc at the time.

This evidence will be contrasted with the complaints they made and with the nature of how the press reported on these claims, which were in fact never registered with the police, as was discovered in 2014. The reader is invited to draw their own conclusions from this newly released evidence.

Two stories from Marc’s youth have been cynically-distorted and questionably used by the organizers of the smear campaign and false complaints in Israel in order to demonize Marc as a “rapist,” “pedophile,” and “predator.”

The first story concerns Marc’s short-term relationship with Sara Kabakov when he was 19. The second concerns a one-time encounter with Judy Mitzner when he was 24. The facts in both stories have been mangled and manipulated over the last 30 years, and now, they are being used to fuel the ongoing smear, which publicly claims to be protecting future victims, but privately seeks to destroy Marc’s reputation.

Here, you will find two new responses concerning each story. They provide a detailed narrative, which cast serious doubt on the veracity of the stories told by the women in question. Moreover, serious questions are also raised about the people behind the scenes who have encouraged and used Judy and Sara over the past several decades.

In 2011, a well known writer on spiritual teachers, wrote a seminal article on the false complaints in Israel. She is well known for her integrity around these issues, and her article was well researched, based on an extensive review of the email records between Marc and the two primary complainants.

The article was published as part of her book on Spiritual teachers. Donna Zerner, a former associate of Marc’s and primary supporter of the false complaints, contacted the publishing house to pressure it into withdrawing her book which contained an account of the past complaints. It was against that backdrop that a wildly exaggerated and distorted story about Marc’s relationships with two powerful adult women during 2011 exploded on the internet.
